Iris van Peppen: Power to the pelvis
In this Improvisation class our main focus goes to our pelvis. Exploring our tailbone, pubicbone, hipjoints in co-relation with our full awaken body, we move in and out of the floor.
We will explore our detailed movement in contact in order to practise our body/mind alignment in movement and awaken our composition mind: Power to the pelvis!

Iris van Peppen is working as a dance artist in the field of instant composition and
contemporary dance for over 18 years, graduated SNDO.
Her starting point is to build from what is present. This can be during a regular class in release technique, organising a festival or creating a dance piece on a site specific location.
In her dance performance work she creates a symbiotic relation between the dance, music & space: one can't exist without the other.
Dansimprovisatie Utrecht (DIU) is founded by Iris van Peppen with the aim to
create a platform in Utrecht where Instant Composition can develop as a discipline in dance. DIU organises
classes on a weekly basis, weekend workshops with guestteachers and
performances in and around Utrecht. Her starting point is to build from what is present. This can be during a regular class in release technique, organising a festival or creating a dance piece on a site specific location.
